I’d like to invite you to make a contribution to the ASENT Leadership Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide support so that trainees in fields related to neurotherapeutics can attend the 20th ASENT Annual Meeting.
The ASENT meeting is the only place that brings together those with the many talents and areas of expertise needed to discover, and deliver, new treatments for disorders of the nervous system. Attendees to our meeting make connections that enrich them personally and professionally. Whatever the area of interest or career goals, the ASENT 20th Annual Meeting will offer content that is highly relevant. Last year’s awardees described the ASENT meeting as “amazing” and “the best experience of my residency”.
Thanks to the founders of ASENT who had the foresight and talent 20 years ago to create this organization. I challenge our current leadership to be part of ASENT’s future through the ASENT Leadership Fund. The Leadership Fund will provide travel /lodging support to residents, fellows, and graduate students who would otherwise be unable to attend. $1000 will cover one trainee.
The scholarship is granted on a competitive basis and the numbers of scholarships depend on funds available. Details about this opportunity will be sent to Neurology Chairs and to Residency Training Directors, and you can make your own nominations. Recipients will be selected from those abstract submitters who meet the criteria as established by the review panel.
I’m kicking off this challenge with a personal contribution of $1000. Any size contribution is welcomed, all donations are tax-deductible (ASENT is a 501C-3 corporation), and all contributors will be acknowledged in the Annual Meeting program.
